Kiko Navarro

Kiko Navarro started work as a DJ in 1990 when he became resident of “Club Luna” in Mallorca, Spain. From that moment on his interest in music changed radically and he started mixing music as well as producing and remixing.

The music he mixes includes a wide range of new music tendencies always related to House music. Combining brand new releases old school and dance floor classics. The evolution of his sets include deep house, garage, underground, afro & disco… always trying to find the cool side of each style without forgetting the most important thing: that people must never stop dancing.

At the time when he started DJing he also interested in production and in 1992 he collaborated with local artists as a remixer and also produced music for local television programs. his first record “Elements Inc” was released in November 1997 by Max Music.

Since the opening and over the last 9 years until it closed Kiko was responsible for the DJ booth and DJ bookings at Pacha Palma de Mallorca, the resident DJ of the club and also the promoter of Sunday sessions and in charge of the summer parties called “Session de Luxe”. On these parties he had the great pleasure of having DJ guests such: Erick Morillo, Boris Dlugosch, Jamie Lewis, DJ Vibe, Smokin’ Jo, Brian Tappert, Sandy Rivera, Dj Spen, Rulers Of The Deep, DJ Pippi and other top DJs of the Spanish House scene.

For 5 years Kiko produced a 2 hour radio show at Flaix FM 100.6. On this program he played the last releases interviewed top Dj’s who played at Pacha. He also collaborated with  local music magazines as well as international publications such as DJ mag and Discoid.

From August  2000 and until the end of 2003 he started Flamingo Discos, his first self produced record “Ritmo Para Voce” was released in August of 2001 and distributed by Peppermint Jam Distribution which gave him a great exposure and gained him respect across the globe by the house music scene.

September 2001 saw the release of his first compilation CD tittled “The Latin Sound of Pacha” a collaboration with Tommy Boy UK and Pacha Group which received praise from international dance magazines such as Dj Mag, Mix Mag, Ministry, 7 mag. In Sept. 2004 Kiko started as a quarterly residency at the famous Ben Watt club “Neighbourhood”, based in West London.

2004 saw the release of a Pacha CD compilation in association with Renaissance UK titled “Renaissance presents Pacha Ibiza”, a triple mixed package which Kiko mixed “The Afroterraneo Mix”.

Kikos first artist album titled “Perceptions” was realeased on Pacha Ibiza Recordings in January 2007, a double Cd which included 14 new tracks on Cd 1 and remixes of some tracks on Cd 2 by djs and producers such as Dj Spen, Kerri Chandler, Spen, Jimpster, Afromystik, Dj Fudge and many others.

Since 2008 has been working for Ducati-Marlboro Moto Gp team, being the official Dj and music manager of their lounge at the VIP Village based in the racing circuits. Touring with the team across the world.

In November 2009 Kiko signed on as exclusive international resident DJ of MustHaveSoul in Dubai at 360º which sees him play 2-3 times a year to a faithful crowd.

2010 see’s the long awaited release of Kiko’s latest artist album. Entitled “Ocho” it includes new unreleased mixes of some of his old productions, new tracks and new remixes has done for different artists. The album will be release in Q4 2010 on ClubStar.
