Music has always been a passion for Simon but it wasn’t until his first trip to Ibiza in 1997 that he picked up the house bug. After seeing Danny Rampling playing soulful house beats he was hooked. Arriving back in the UK he was quick to purchase his first set of vinyl decks and so his story began…

In 2003 after making friends on the London scene Simon started his first club night named Irresistible, a monthly night of  soulful talent from around town. Within 3 months of starting the night Simon was offered residencies at Café De Paris in London and River bar in his home town of Maidstone he and also appeared as a guest at such nights as Nic Fancuilli’s Fandango night at Turnmills and Bobby & Steve and Friends at Herbal.

Moving on to 2005 and after a chance meeting in Miami with PR guru and now close friend Sarah Foote (Favouritizm) Simon was offered to be a resident dj at Plan B in Brixton, London. This is where he cut his teeth on an amazing funktion one sound system, playing week in week out with the likes of: Danny Krivit, Bobby & Steve, Norman Jay, Joey Negro, Greg Wilson, Bassment Jaxx and many other top DJs from around the world. Simon & Sarah also ran the very successful Favouritizm nights at Plan B in between 2007 & 2008 bring in DJ’s such as: Grant Nelson, Quentin Harris, Miguel Migs, Lisa Shaw and Liquid People.

From 2006 – 2007 Simon hosted the hugely popular Favouritizm Show on Londons House FM every Sunday from 4-6pm, showcasing the best in soulful and deep house with competitions and mixes from some of the worlds best DJs.

Simon has also been a regular at  the legendary Southport Weekender events over the past 6 years, previously running the VIP room and now the official after parties where he has played alongside the crème de la crème of the soulful house scene. Simon has also played the main room (the powerhouse) on two separate occasions as part of the team of residents for the event.

Simon has been lucky to play all over the world at clubs and bars in such places as Thailand, USA, Poland, Spain (Ibiza), Hong Kong and the Middle East.

2008 saw Simon leave the shores of  the UK and move to the slightly hotter climates of  Dubai where he now runs events as Promoter and resident dj for MustHaveSoul at 360º (Jumeirah Beach Hotel), booking and playing alongside a host of top dj talent from around the world. Now in its 4th season at the ‘top 100 clubs in the world’ voted venue the event has received critical acclaim receiving not one but two Timeout Nightlife Awards nominations for ‘Best House Music Night’.

2009/2010 season saw Simon back on air on Radio, joining the radio 1 team in Dubai with a new weekly Saturday night show broadcast live from 360º – named MustHaveSoul after his ever popular Saturday night party.

Looking to the future Simon and his business partner Paul are hoping to spread the MustHaveSoul brand across the globe with a Record Label and  a string of guest parties in Europe and Asia. He’s also hoping to get time to get back into the studio and start producing the music that he loves so much.
